On March 24th 2010 at 6 PM at the Surrey Long and McQuade (on 104th Ave. and 138th St. in Surrey) I will be hosting a free clinic open to the public. The aim of this clinic is to introduce you to the world of recording. Learning about everything from interfaces to microphones will help you to make wise investments in your recording equipment. Techniques on getting the best results from your gear will also be covered.

So I went in for surgery yesterday, and came out in one piece. I will be off my feet for a little bit now. I had to take two week off of work, but the good news is I loaned some Adam A5 monitors and fell in love. I will be acquiring these beauties as soon as my bank account will allow for it. The stereo field is remarkable, it gives a sense of depth I just was not getting with my previous monitors. I highly recommend these for anyone who needs a set of smaller nearfield monitors. Did I mention they have a 5 year warranty?

I got my start in audio like many others in my high school music program. Now I am looking to give back to the school system music programs by offering special rates for school. Recording concerts can provide an excellent learning tool for directors and students alike, as well as being an excellent fundraiser, and great memory for students. Ok, So I have been a mac user for about 6 years now and had excellent computers. Now, my 3 year old Macbook gave me a grey screen of death and I thought all was over. Worry not, I threw my computer into target disc mode and backed up all my files in no time. A quick reinstall of OS X and all was better again. In all of my time with PC I have never had such an easy time getting up and running again. If you are thinking about getting a mac. DO IT!

Been busy these last few months, recording, teaching, and scoring. I have updated the demo page with a song I recorded with Jesse Krause. I scored a short film for a film contest, and been mixing an EP. Sometimes the website gets neglected a little. In any case I got some new gear and am dying to try it.
